1. Agreement to these terms

By creating an account on GraceMeet ("GraceMeet", "we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and GraceMeet Ltd, a private limited company registered in England and Wales (company number 17192031), trading as GraceMeet (the "Service").

2. Eligibility

To use GraceMeet, you must:

Be at least 18 years of age;
Be legally able to enter a binding contract under English law;
Be unmarried and not currently legally engaged;
Be sincerely seeking a Christ-centred marriage;
Provide truthful information about yourself;
Not be prohibited from using the Service under applicable law.

We reserve the right to refuse service or close any account at our discretion.

3. Account responsibilities

You are responsible for:

Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials;
All activity that occurs under your account;
Keeping your profile information accurate and up to date;
Notifying us promptly of any unauthorised access.

You must not share your account, create multiple accounts, or impersonate another person.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Provide false, misleading, or fraudulent information;
Use the Service for any commercial purpose without our written permission;
Solicit money or other goods or services from other users;
Harass, threaten, abuse, or discriminate against other users;
Send sexually explicit content, including images;
Send unsolicited advertising, spam, or promotional content;
Upload content that infringes intellectual property rights;
Upload illegal, hateful, or inciting content;
Attempt to circumvent security measures;
Reverse-engineer, scrape, or copy the Service;
Use the Service if you have been previously banned.

5. Identity verification

We may require you to complete identity verification by providing a live selfie that is compared against your profile photo using AI. Verification status may be displayed to other users. We may revoke verification status at any time if we have reason to believe it was obtained improperly.

6. AI-powered matching — no guarantees

GraceMeet uses artificial intelligence to recommend potential partners. We do not guarantee that you will receive matches, that any match will lead to a relationship, or that any relationship will lead to marriage. Matchmaking is inherently uncertain.

The AI provides recommendations only. You remain solely responsible for decisions about who to communicate with, who to meet, and how to conduct any relationship that develops.

7. Subscriptions and payments

GraceMeet offers a free tier ("Free") and a paid tier ("Blessed").

Free: limited to up to 3 AI-curated matches per week.

Blessed: £15 per month, providing up to 5 AI-curated matches per week and additional features. Subscriptions renew automatically each month. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

Refunds: Pursuant to UK consumer law, you have a 14-day right to cancel from purchase, provided you have not begun to consume the service. Once you have used Blessed-tier features (such as receiving a Blessed-tier match batch), the cancellation right is extinguished. Outside this period, all subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by law.

Note: payment integration is currently in development. The above terms will apply once Stripe payments are enabled. Until then, the Blessed tier is provided free of charge as part of beta testing.

8. User-generated content

You retain ownership of content you upload (photos, profile information, messages). By uploading content, you grant GraceMeet a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, transmit, and process that content for the purpose of operating the Service.

You represent and warrant that you have all necessary rights to the content you upload.

9. Reporting and moderation

Users may report concerning behaviour using in-app reporting. We review reports and may suspend or terminate accounts at our discretion. We may, in our sole discretion, review reported messages or content for safety purposes.

10. Termination

You may close your account at any time via the Settings menu.

We may suspend or terminate your account immediately, without notice, if:

You violate these Terms;
We are required to do so by law;
You engage in conduct that risks harm to other users or to the Service;
You fail to pay any subscription fees due.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including limitations of liability and dispute resolution) shall survive.

11. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that:

The Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free;
Any matches will be compatible, suitable, or willing to communicate;
Information about other users is accurate (we verify identity but cannot verify all claims).

You are solely responsible for your interactions with other users. We strongly recommend exercising caution, meeting in public places initially, and not sharing financial information.

12. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GRACEMEET'S TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) £100 OR (B) THE TOTAL FEES YOU PAID TO US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless GraceMeet and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, or your interactions with other users.

14. Intellectual property

All Service content, design, software, and trademarks (excluding user-generated content) are owned by GraceMeet Ltd and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

15. Changes to these terms

We may modify these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email at least 14 days before taking effect. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

16. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except where you are a consumer and the laws of your country of residence provide otherwise.

17. General

Severability: If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.
No waiver: Our failure to enforce any right is not a waiver.
Entire agreement: These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Community Guidelines, form the entire agreement between you and us.
Assignment: You may not assign your rights under these Terms. We may assign ours.
