Delete your account

GraceMeet, operated by GraceMeet Ltd · Last updated: 6 September 2026

You can delete your GraceMeet account at any time, from inside the app or by writing to us. You do not need to give a reason, and you will not be asked to speak to anyone first.

How to delete your account from the app

  1. Open GraceMeet and sign in.
  2. Tap Settings in the bottom navigation bar.
  3. Scroll to the bottom of Settings and tap Delete my account.
  4. Choose a reason if you would like to tell us one, or choose Something else. This is optional and is only used to help us improve.
  5. Confirm. Your account is closed immediately and you are signed out.

Would you rather pause than delete? Settings also has a Pause my account option. A paused account is hidden from matching and receives no automatic emails, and nothing is deleted. You can resume whenever you like.

How to delete your account by email

If you cannot sign in, email gracemeetapp@gmail.com from the email address on your account and ask us to delete it. We will confirm your identity, carry out the deletion, and reply to you within one calendar month, as required by UK GDPR.

What is deleted, and when

Immediately, the moment you confirm

Within 14 days

Your account is permanently deleted. The 14 days are a grace period: if you change your mind and sign back in during them, the deletion stops. Be aware that everything in the list above has already gone by that point and is not brought back — you would need to add your photos and profile details again. After the 14 days pass, the following are permanently erased and cannot be recovered:

What is kept, and for how long

WhatHow longWhy
Database backups containing your data None are kept We do not currently keep separate backups, so there is no backup copy of your data left to expire after you delete your account
Aggregate, anonymised patterns about what makes introductions work Indefinitely Only if you had separately consented to AI training. These contain no name, photo, message or contact detail, and cannot be traced back to you
Records we are required by law to keep, such as financial or security-incident records For the period the law requires Legal obligation

Deleting some of your data without closing your account

You do not have to delete your whole account to remove individual pieces of information. From inside the app you can:

You can also ask us to erase specific data by emailing gracemeetapp@gmail.com.

If you simply stop using GraceMeet

Accounts that go unused are wound down on their own, so your data is not held indefinitely:

Inactive forWhat happens
60 daysYour profile is hidden from new introductions, and we email to ask whether you are still looking. Signing in reactivates it.
90 daysWe email a final warning that the account will be deleted in 30 days unless you sign in.
120 daysThe account enters the same 14-day grace period described above.
134 daysThe account is permanently deleted.

Using Pause my account in Settings stops these timers entirely.
